UCI Gran Fondo Loutraki Greece 2026

UCI Gran Fondo Loutraki Greece 2026, part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series with over 35 qualifying events for the World Championships around the world each season, returns for its second edition! It is a premier "cycling for all" race with the participation of Elite, U23, Juniors, Masters and Sportive athletes (participation of athletes with or without a racing card).

EVENT DETAILS

UCI Gran Fondo Loutraki Greece 2026 is organized by the Region of Peloponnese, the  Municipality of Loutraki, the Municipality of Nemea and Kyvernitis Travel Group. The race will be held on routes in the Region of Peloponnese, under the auspices of the Hellenic Cycling Federation, following the regulations of the Hellenic Cycling Federation (EOP) and the UCI. The event will take place on Sunday, November 1, 2026, and is included in the UCI racing schedule and qualifies for the final of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series, taking place in Haute-Savoie, France, in 2027.

Participation is allowed for the following categories of athletes:

  • Amateur license
  • Master license
  • Cycling for All license
  • Elite license with exception of:
    • Any rider who has during the current year been a member of a team registered with the UCI.
    • Any rider who has taken part in a World Championships, the Olympic Games, Continental Championships, Regional Games, the Commonwealth Games, or a World Cup during the current year.

By participating in the UCI Gran Fondo, you participate in one of the sporting events organized or approved by sports federations. Therefore, to participate, you must provide one of the following:

  • Valid HCF (Hellenic Cycling Federation) license for 2026.
  • Valid National Federation license (from any UCI-affiliated Cycling Federation) for 2026.
  • or, for those who do not hold such a license and are eligible to participate in these races, presentation of a medical certificate only or a copy thereof, which must be dated within the last semester from the date of the race..

On-site checks on the authenticity of medical certificates and licences will be carried out. Riders must be able to provide these items when they receive their match numbers or during the event. as below for Men and Women:

AGE GROUP

  • 19-34
  • 35-39
  • 40-44
  • 45-49
  • 50-54
  • 55-59
  • 60-64
  • 65-69
  • 70-79
  • 80+

The ages of the athletes are calculated based on the calendar year of birth (31/12), and not the date of birth. For an age group to apply, at least 6 riders for male categories or 4 riders for the female categories respectively must be registered, otherwise the category in question will be combined with the next older or younger age category.
